Climate Change Agreement Monitoring & Targeting
Spreadsheet for 2005-2006
posted October 05
Below is the Climate Change Agreement (CCA) Monitoring Spreadsheet,
for the period 1st October 2005 to 30th September 2006, this
period is the Third Target Period. It comes complete with
full guidance.
Many members have found it useful in the past to be able
to monitor their Climate Change Agreement (CCA) performance
against their targets on a regular basis.
To be clear this is not a data return form, but rather a
tool supplied by DES for use by its members.

We are now in a “lull year”, i.e. a facility
is not judged against its energy performance in order to meet
a Climate Change Agreement (CCA) target.
The next target period starts on 1st October 2005 and ends
on 30th September 2006. this will be the third target period,
but fifth year of the agreement.
All members now in the agreement will receive the rebate
from climate change levy until 31st March 2007, whether or
not they meet their next target.
The next target is the first of three that were recently
reviewed. Members will by now have all received the notification
from Defra of the new revised targets. Members should insert
this notification into their underlying agreement.
Just before the start of the third target period, we will
be sending all members a monitoring and targeting spreadsheet,
so that the energy performance can be monitored throughout
the year.
DES will be seeking energy and production data from all members
for the 12 month period we are in now, in order to monitor
the sector performance, also to enable DES to report this
to Defra in January 2006. Therefore, we will be sending data
collection spreadsheets to all members in the month of September.
The end of the third milestone period is 31st March 2007.
