Monitoring and Reporting Spreadsheet for 2005–
2006
Schedule 3 of the Underlying Agreement requires that a system
for monitoring and controlling performance is set up. The
system should monitor site energy flows, record progress against
the targets in the energy plans, and enable the identification
of areas where further improvement is required.
Many companies will already have these systems in place,
however, for those that do not have monitoring systems in
place, or those that would like to use one tailored for monitoring
progress towards meeting CCA targets, DES has developed a
spreadsheet that is very simple to use, but is informative.
The spreadsheet developed allows companies to have a record
of their base year data so they can see their previous performance,
and to monitor progress periodically throughout the CCA target
period to see how close they are to meeting targets. There
are also graphs that summarise performance throughout the
year.
The spreadsheet can be used as it is or can be modified as
companies require.

Word Version of Climate Change Agreement PP10 &
11 Forms

A number of members of the dairy sector Climate Change Agreement
(CCA) have reported that they are having difficulty in manually
completing revised PP10 & 11 forms. This has come about
as HM Revenue & Customs has issued updated forms (before
the name change to HM Revenue & Customs), but only in
PDF formats which cannot be completed electronically.
Defra has now issued Word versions of the Customs PP10 &
11 forms that have been agreed them with Customs. Please find
attached the said forms.
We must stress that these Word versions should only be completed
electronically. If members wish to complete PP10 & 11
forms by hand they must use the PDF versions.
The revised forms, both PDF and Word, need only to be sent
to HM Revenue & Customs and your energy suppliers, if
you change energy suppliers, or if the level of rebate changes.
Each member company should review this annually.
